Ta-ta, Tom T!

In case you missed it, Representative Tom Tancredo of Colorado has finally withdrawn from the race for the Republican presidential nomination.

He needed to do so a long time ago. The field has been too crowded for too long, and will remain so even after his departure.

(If you're having trouble placing him, he's the guy who was always talking about illegal immigration.)

In fact, I guess you have to admire him for staying "on topic" throughout his failed campaign. He was, quite simply, a one issue candidate. And, that doomed him from the start. A viable candidate must have considerably more depth than that.

His departure makes the choice even more clear for ye Republican socks. We need Mike Huckabee as the next President of the United States. And, the sooner we coalesce around his candidacy, the greater our victory will be over the Clinton-Obama nightmare the Democrats are threatening to visit upon us all.

Go, Mike, go!

There's gold in them thar hills!

How cool is this old picture?!

That Parson Swinney was the father of the William Swinney for whom I am named.

He had a pretty interesting life, graduating from Yale, managing a vast tobacco empire, founding colleges, and . . . from the looks of this picture . . . some prospecting out west.

He purchased an interest in the Gilpin Mine near Steamboat Springs, Colorado, back in 1886. But, I've never really followed-up on that little tidbit with any actual research. Perhaps, this picture will provide the inspiration . . . if not the time!

Norman Hsu, who are you?!

Why, he's one of Hillary Clinton's top campaign fundraisers, that's who he is!! He helped her gather $850,000 for her current run for the White House. That's probably why she's smiling so big in this recent picture with Hsu.

She's not smiling so much today, though.

That's because Hsu's personal history has surfaced. It turns out he stole millions of dollars from would-be investors in what can only be described as a Ponzi scheme. He even plead no-contest to grand theft charges related to this scheme back in 1992. But, instead of showing up for sentencing, he fled to the mountains of Colorado.

Fortunately, he's in jail now. And, Hillary has finally announced that she is going to return the money he gave her campaign.

But, what I'm wondering is whether she'll have to bear all the outrage, self-righteous indignation, condemnation, and personal attacks that she and her fellow Democrats enjoy inflicting on others.

Of course she won't.

Remember you heard it here first. The "H" stands for "Hypocrite."
