War of the Worlds

Let me just preface this post with a statement: I can't stand Tom Cruise as an off-screen human being.

That out of the way, I really enjoyed "War of the Worlds." My old fraternity brother Steve tried to get me to go see the movie while it was still in the theaters. But, my disdain for the general public persuaded me to wait until it came out on DVD. Now, I'm glad I didn't see it on the big screen. It was bad enough on my tiny little television! Bad, in a good way, that is.

The aliens were all-too-realistic. I actually felt the panic of the people. The ending left a little to be desired. But, overall, Mr. Spielberg dished-up another fun flick.
