Orange and Blue forever!

Well, ye socks, I guess I just became a Denver Broncos fan. At least they have the right team colors . . .

Still can't figure out why the Jacksonville Jaguars passed on drafting Tim Tebow. Instead, they used their 10th pick on Tyson Alualu out of California. Yeah, that's going to pack the stands . . .

I was half hoping #15 would end up in Minnesota, learning from Brett Favre and reconnecting with Percy Harvin. But, it became fairly obvious where he was going when the Tebow family was sporting Broncos hats well in advance of the team's 25th pick in the first round last night.

Somewhat ironically, Superman has the opportunity to show the Jags the error of their ways during his first game with the Broncos.

That's right, ye socks. Mark the calendar. Septhember 12th the Broncos will be playing the Jags in Jacksonville. Should be a good one.

Clear my schedule!

With so much going wrong in this world, yours truly is looking forward to a little escapism this weekend.

The overarching theme is FOOTBALL.

I plan on spending a lot of time with the over-stuffed sectional, engaging in some January-style bracketology.

Here are my picks:

Colts over Ravens.

Jets over Chargers.

Saints over Cowboys. (Sorry, Steve!)

Vikings over Cardinals.

The holidays are officially over

I make that bold declaration based on the disappearance of the Christmas tree from my living room today.

Sure does make the Lake Hammer chalet look different.

And, it reminds us "the times, they are a-changing."

We have to put down the cookies, and start focusing on getting back in shape.

We get to watch more football. Aren't the NFL play-offs awesome?! Two back-to-back games on BOTH Saturday and Sunday!!!

But, more fun for a political junkie like myself, the change in season also means the presidential campaign is starting to "mean something."

Not that it hasn't ALWAYS "meant something." It's just that we're finally getting down to brass tacks, and folks are actually attending caucuses or voting in primaries. We're getting official results.

I love it!
