Beach Bumming

Spent the day up here in St. Augustine just beach-bumming.

Checked out a local flea market. Didn't find anything I couldn't live without, but got a big kick out of all the characters.

Then went to my favorite place to eat in the historic district: The Columbia Restaurant. Had the Ropa Vieja. Can't go wrong with that. My waitress was really cool, recommended a place around the corner where she and the rest of the staff hang out after hours. She said to make sure to try the jalapeno poppers. So, I'll have to add that to my agenda.

Worked-off lunch by strolling down St. George to the galleries near the Bridge of Lions. How's that for a varied experience. From a flea market in the morning to fine art galleries in the afternoon?!

Things started getting crowded and hot by 2:30, so headed back to Barefoot Trace. Still have all the windows open to enjoy all the beach sounds, especially the surf. It's actually lulling me into "nap mode." So, will sign off for now.
