Termites in the mulch?! Say it ain't so!

If you use mulch around your house be very careful about buying it this year.

Apparently, Hurricane Kaqtrina blew over so many trees out in New Orleans that clean-up crews are anxiously trying to get rid of tons and tons of mulch.

So, it will soon be showing up in Home Depot and Lowe's at dirt-cheap prices. There's just one problem with that: Formosan Termites.

New Orleans was one of the few areas in the country were Formosan Termites had established a stronghold, and most of the trees blown down were already badly infested.

Now, we may have the worst case of transporting a problem to all parts of the country than we have ever had.

These termites can eat a house in no time at all, so tell your friends and neighbors to avoid this cheap "Katrina mulch!"
