Time to Pay the Piper

Even though it was deferred somewhat this year, Tax Day still took a big bite today. It physically pains me to cut those checks to Uncle Sam every year. But, what are you going to do? "Taxes are the price we pay to live in a civilized society," right?!

Whatever.

The real "time to pay the piper" came this evening.

I enjoyed Easter feasting way too much this year, so am trying to get back into a regular excercise regime. This involved a 10-mile hike in the Florida heat and humidity this evening.

How long do you reckon it takes to sweat-out all the ham the average person consumes over the holiday weekend? What about the "above average" person?!?

Oh, well. Excercise is the price we pay to eat in a hammy society, I guess.
